Book an Appointment to File as a Candidate or Third Party Advertiser
Individuals who wish to run for mayor for the 2023 Mayoral By-election must file the required documentation between April 3, 2023 and May 12, 2023.
Individuals, corporations or trade unions who intend to spend money promoting or opposing a candidate must register as a third party advertiser between April 3, 2023 and June 23, 2023.
Candidate nominations and third party advertiser registrations will only be accepted at Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street West (permit alley). The 89 Northline Road Elections Office is closed to the public.
City Hall walk-ins will be accepted but you may have to wait for an available time.
Due to space limitations, candidates are permitted to bring no more than four guests when they file their nomination.
The information will be used for the purpose of scheduling and communicating with you about your appointment date to administer your candidate nomination or third party registration.

City Clerk's Office collects your personal information under the legal authority of the Municipal Elections Act,1996, sections 32, 33, 35, 88 and 88.6. Your information will be filed with the City Clerk and will be available for public inspection by any person at the City Clerk's Office at a time when the office is open.
