The Health Unit offers immunization clinics at five different sites across Leeds, Grenville and Lanark.

Routine Immunizations – Children and Adults

You may book into a Health Unit clinic to get immunized if you are unable to access immunizations through your health care provider,

We provide publically funded immunizations for:

  • Children - who need doses of vaccines required for daycare and school attendance.
  • Pregnant persons - Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis vaccine ideally between 27 and 32 weeks of gestation, for every pregnancy.
  • Adults between 65 and 70 - Shingrix vaccine.
  • Adults aged 60 and older, for the Pneumococcal vaccine - this is a one time dose
  • We do not provide TB testing services.
  • We do not provide travel vaccines

Grade 7 vaccine catch up program

These vaccines are NOT available at your primary care provider.

Students now in grades 9 to 12 who are missing doses of these vaccines.  Please book an appointment using the button below for Grade 7 vaccines

Students in Grade 7/8 this year

  • If your grade 7 student missed a clinic in school this year, we still have their signed consent form and will immunize them along with next year's grade 7 students. Please do not book an appointment
  • If your grade 7 or 8 student was unable to be immunized at school due to personal reasons, you may book an appointment and please provide any relevant information in the comments section.

 

Additional Information on vaccines provided in Health Unit clinics

mPOX vaccine (monkey pox)

 

If you feel you are at risk of being exposed to mPOX, you may be eligible to receive the free vaccine. Please review the MPOX vaccine fact sheet for more details.

Individuals with signs or symptoms of mpox infection should not receive the vaccine.

If you have been exposed to a high risk contact or a case of mpox then please call the health unit for further direction on next steps at 1800 660 5853. Please ask for the Infectious Disease Team.
